During a mountain run in the glow of sunrise last week that quote came to mind. I wasn\u2019t about to post my immediate surroundings on instagram.<\/p>\n

Actually, I have never owned a cell phone.<\/p>\n

Thou a camera is a great tool for my work, I often explore outdoors without one.\u00a0Even a camera may be distracting, inhibiting us from fully absorbing experience.<\/p>\n

In the work I do, observing with captivated attention is paramount. It\u2019s portraying an intimate human experience akin with nature.<\/p>\n

When it comes to being emotionally connected, I wear my heart on my sleeve.<\/p>\n

Landscape Impressionism concept is \u201cthe impression of\u201d.\u00a0This style of painting is not illustrative, say, compared to a lengthy detailed essay.\u00a0Impressionism expresses mood, drama and movement, similar to simplified bullet points \u2018conveying the key points\u2019.<\/p>\n

The truth is, I have stood on the hillside both at sunrise and sunset.<\/p>\n

The camera may not have captured it\u2019s glory, but my heart did.<\/p>\n
